Airguard® DP® 1 pleated air filters are suitable for use in virtually any air handling system with normal operating conditions, including filter banks, central station air handlers, rooftop units, side access housings, as final filters for systems with MERV 8 requirements or pre-filters in multi-stage systems. The filters are assembled with a mating two-piece die-cut frame forming a double thick wall around the entire perimeter of the filter. Diagonal support members are an integral part of the frame on both sides and are bonded to the pleat tips at all points of contact to maintain pleat shape, prevent fluttering in operation and increase filter rigidity. An expanded metal grid is laminated to the air-leaving side.

All DP® 1 type pleated filters utilize ultra-fine microglass media to achieve MERV 8 mechanical efficiency and are manufactured using sophisticated production control techniques to ensure consistent pleat count, height, shape, and spacing. This contributes to low pressure drop, balanced dust loading, and longer service life. The pleats can be installed either vertically or horizontally.
