The Purolator¬® Hi-E® 40 H is a standard-capacity, medium-efficiency pleated air filter that is specially engineered for use in systems with elevated operating temperatures (up to 500°F).

The filter media is made from ¼-in thick, high-density fiberglass reinforced with woven fiberglass mesh and is bonded to a corrosion-resistant, expanded metal support grid with a 96% open face area. The pleated element is supported downstream with a 24-gauge expanded aluminized steel faceguard to ensure the stability of the media pack at high temperatures. The support grid is formed into a wedge configuration to optimize the use of the filter media. The double-wall thickness around the outer edge and integral die-cut cross members provide extra strength and rigidity.
The filters are made with 100% synthetic fibers and achieve MERV 8 performance before and after a conditioning step. Available in 2-in or 4-in thickness.
