The VB actuator is a single acting pneumatic clamp cylinder with built in oleo pneumatic intensifier producing a force up to 2100 daN. Compact and easy to install for clamping, holding and riveting applications.

The VB actuator is single acting pneumatic clamp cylinder with built in oleo pneumatic intensifier. Compact in size for large forces up to 2100 daN. With a fully threaded body, for easy adjustment it is simple and quick to install and suited to clamping, holding and riveting applications. Air pressure is applied to the pneumatic piston that causes a plunger to displace the enclosed oil in the hydraulic section of the cylinder. A high pressure stroke results at the hydraulic piston due to the differential areas of the two pistons. A return spring retracts the piston to the rest position when the air pressure is removed. Clamp cylinders must be installed so that the force is directed along the axis and should not be operated without load. They should always be operated in conjunction with a clamping fixture to limit the stroke to within the maximum length specified. It is recommended an effective stroke equal to the maximum minus 1mm.

Operating and Environmental Data:
• Operating Medium : For best possible service life and trouble-free operation dry, filtered compressed air to ISO 8573-1:2010 quality class 3.4.3 should be used. This specifies a dew point of +3°C for indoor operation (a lower dew point should be selected for minus temperature operation and we recommend the use of an inline dryer) and is in line with the air quality from most standard compressors with a standard filter.
