This rugged, stand-alone 19-inch rack-mount chassis provides a top-load solution for high-power 6U VPX modules. Heat collection is achieved using liquid flow-through sidewalls of a one air transport rack (ATR) format sub-assembly. Transferring heat from the ATR is enabled via a closed-loop fluid system. Heat rejection is achieved by an internally-enclosed liquid-to-air heat exchanger mounted in the base of the 8U enclosure.

Cooling air enters the lower front of the enclosure through an EMI-protected filter. Having passed through the heat exchanger, hot air is drawn by the high performance fans to vent to the rear of the enclosure.

The ‘on board’ chassis monitor controls the thermal environment and power system, reporting state-of-health data. Cooling fluid management is achieved utilizing a smart pump, controller, and accumulator.
The rear panel is capable of supporting a wide range of I/O interconnect.

APPLICATIONS:
This fully integrated closed liquid loop solution for cooling high power VPX modules and power supplies is perfectly suited for embedded computer upgrades when no liquid loop is available for cooling. Designed to meet the requirements of MIL461 and MIL704 this family of products is suitable for rugged industrial and military environments.
