Chip collectors remove ferrous particles from engine oil to increase the life of oil and optimal performance of the turbine engine.

Parker Aerospace chip collectors capture ferrous particles from the oil flowing through the system.

Like a drain plug in the oil pan of a car, the chip collector is mounted at the bottom of the oil reservoir or gearbox. The chip collector is comprised of an aluminum housing and knob with magnet. The service technician can remove the chip collector knob to check or remove debris without draining the oil because the housing has a poppet-like secondary seal. The chip collector can also allow the ability to drain oil by use of a drain tool as needed.
